Chelsea go back top of the league

SALAH Chelsea bounced back from their back to back defeat in the past week to defeat Stoke City 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
It was a victory that got Chelsea back to the top of English Premier League, after having mixed results in recent weeks.

With much criticisms on his forwards for their poor conversion rates in the past games,Jose Mourinho's team were a bit swift in transiting play showing urgency in their quest for a goal.

Chelsea probed but they met a firm resistance from Stoke who sat a bit deeper to forestall their attempts.

However,Stoke caved in and Mohamed Salah was right on hand to sweep in a shot through Nemanja Matic's cutback from the left wing and give the Blues the lead after 32 minutes.

It was the second goal scored by the Egyptian since he joined Chelsea in January.

Chelsea were in the ascendancy from then on,Branislav Ivanovic's goal was rightly ruled out for an offside as they went for the kill.

Chelsea got the second goal in the 61st minute after Salah was brought down in the box by Wilkinson.

Frank Lampard had his penalty saved but he was on hand to guide his rebound into the net for 2-0.
Willian made it three for Chelsea, picking the ball infield and taking his time to curl in the goal beyond Asmir Begovic.
From then it was vinatge Chelsea as they saw out the game to go back top of the table above Manchester City who are second on the log.

Liverpool will have an opportunity to go top of the table again if they defeat West Ham tomorrow at Upton Park
